We are please to offer an exciting training opportunity at Northumbria Healthcare for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team. Experience within Cardiology and interpreting diagnostic results eg 12 lead ECGs and rhythm abnormalities would be highly desirable.

The successful applicant will be paid according to Agenda For Change at Band 6 for the duration of their training which is expected to last 18 months from October 2024.

This is a training role, and as such the main responsibilities are achieving competency in Echocardiography.

The post holder will follow a structured training plan to meet both with clearly defined targets, expectations and regular assessments to complete British Society of Accreditation.

The post holder will be involved in performing echocardiograms which requires intimate contact with patients.

Work towards and successfully achieve Level 2 BSE accreditation

Strong commitment to Self-directed learning.

Responsible to both the Echo lead of the department and Echo training lead.

Communicate and interact effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure a positive patient experience.

To maintain accurate patient data including accurate documentation and record keeping in line with Trust policies and have full regard to patient confidentiality.

Maintain mandatory training for the role.

Commitment to working within teams.

To participate in personal individual performance review.
