**Technical Support - Highways**

**Location: Crewe**

**Contract Type: Permanent**

We are working with a market leader in the highways industry to recruit a technician to join the Construction Team in Cheshire.

The purpose of the role is to support, plan, programme and organise delivery on site the Council’s highways capital programme plus any other work streams that the Construction Team are commissioned to deliver to meet or exceed the required deliverables.

**The Role**
- Production and preparation of job packs
- Raise requestions for the ordering of capital works and services
- Communicate and co-ordinate with our Supply Chain Partners and provide them with the appropriate level of site documentation
- Liaison with client, stakeholders and third parties where necessary
- Undertake and assist with the production of technical drawings using specialist CAD software
- Ensure that all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements.
- Review of Supply Chain Partners Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH for all allocated schemes.
- Ensuring that projects are developed and delivered safely on time and to budget as per the Works Information.
- Assist in the management and monitoring of works programmes or services
- Assist with the use of systems and data for collating and reporting relevant performance and management information
- Other Ad Hoc duties to fulfil the requirement of the role

**About You**
- Demonstrate thorough working knowledge of health and safety legislation and codes of practice
- Understanding of highway maintenance and delivery methods and techniques
- Understanding in the use of AutoCad
- Experience of using MS packages - Word, Excel and Outlook is desirable
- Experience in a Highways role is desirable

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
