Responsibilities:

- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and provide exceptional customer service
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving

Qualifications:

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
- Ability to drive various types of vehicles, such as flatbeds or vans, depending on the job requirements

We have a full time driver, however, when they are off we need someone who is happy to cover. So this is only a when required opportunity. Self employed drivers or retired folk are preferred.

**Job Types**: Freelance, Zero hours contract, Volunteer

**Salary**: £11.20 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 30 per week
