An opportunity has arisen for **Battery Test Technicians** to join our Battery Systems Team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. The purpose of this role is to validate and report on WAE battery systems through the testing of battery cells, modules and packs.

**Job role**:

- Generating data for WAE’s battery systems through testing.
- Setup of standard product and early prototypes for test.
- Writing and following test procedures.
- Building and developing industry leading test facilities.
- Maintaining test rig hardware.
- Basic data analysis for rapid communication of test findings and results.

**You’ll have**:
**ESSENTIAL skills and experience**:
- Hands-on engineering approach.
- Working experience of Microsoft Office packages (predominantly Word and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to complete tasks appropriately as instructed by the area lead personnel.
- Highly disciplined and organised.
- Must bring a positive “can-do” attitude to working within a dynamic work environment.

**ADVANTAGEOUS***:
- Previous experience working within a nascent technology setting.
- Experience in battery test methods, but not essential.
- Experience in writing detailed and comprehensive test procedures.
- Knowledge of / familiarity with HV battery systems.
- Knowledge of / familiarity with battery safety, abuse testing, thermal runaway and propagation.
- Knowledge of / familiarity with degradation mechanisms associated with Li-ion batteries.
- Experience in cell test data analysis.

**The role will initially fulfil WAE’s standard working hours of 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. This role will move in line with the “Late Shift” pattern of 2pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, expected from June 2023.**
