Atkinson Moss is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join a large buying group.

In collaboration with the Payroll Manager, you will maintain accurate end to end payroll processing. Ensuring you deliver a professional, efficient, and proactive service at all times.

**Main duties**:

- Accurate processing of Member and The AF Group payrolls this includes weekly, monthly, four-weekly and fortnightly payrolls.
- Managing general enquires internally and externally to ensure a professional and efficient service is provided.
- Escalating any issues promptly to the Payroll Manager and assist as necessary.
- Proactively seek to identify effective solutions and improvements to our service.
- Maintaining and developing up to date knowledge of Payroll policies, procedures and legislation.
- Assisting with audit processes.
- Maintain an appropriate record/filing system of all relevant information for audit purposes.
- Provide necessary documentation to HMRC (RTI), and also assist with the preparation and submission of all year-end returns to HMRC.
- Manage pension schemes and payments including auto-enrolment for AF, associated companies and members, liaise with the company’s brokers.
- Prepare BACS files to make payroll related payments for AF and members.
- Support the Payroll Manager with any other payroll tasks as required.

**Experience and skills**:

- Strong IT skills, inc. excel
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your workload accordingly
- Previous experience within a similar payroll position in a busy Bureau environment
- Experience using payroll software
- Up to date and clear understanding of payroll legislation, HMRC regulations and auto enrolment requirements and returns
- Motivated
- Organised
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Team player but also able to work alone and use own initiative
- Proactive
