The client is looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual who will be involved and invested in the company, ongoing contracts and overall success. The client has been active in the construction logistics and site services market for over 11 years and has an established client base and consistent work across the UK. They turnover over £30Mill and deal with various sectors including new build, commercial refurb, and infrastructure amongst other areas. They have great growth plans over the next few years and with this comes excellent progression and development opportunities with this role.

**Salary**: £35,000 - £50,000
**Job Location**: London, Hybrid
**Type of Contract**: Permanent, Full time
**Hours**: 37.5 hour working week, Monday - Friday
- **The role **_
As the **Construction Buyer** your role will involve the following important duties:
- Reporting directly to the Head of procurement managing a supplier list.
- Identifying potential suppliers and new products.
- Contacting a range of suppliers and sub-contractors to obtain quotations.
- Keeping detailed records and issuing PO numbers to work schedules.
- Assessing the reliability of sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials.
- Ensuring compliance with the safety, health and environment requirements of materials and services.
- Preparing and maintaining cost reports in order to maximise efficiency within the business.
- Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms possible with suppliers.

As a successful **Construction Buyer,** you will have the following:
- Must have previous Buyer/Purchasing experience.
- Experience within the construction industry would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the ERP system Coins would be an advantage but training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail.
