**Base Location**: Angus - Arbroath Depot
**Salary**: £26,609 - £30,472

**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time
We invest millions every year to make sure that our network is in the best condition possible to minimise the risk of power cuts and to ensure the safety of the public. During high winds and storms, trees & vegetation can contact our equipment and cause power cuts, so we may have to remove them or trim them back to keep the lights on. As well as installing the latest technologies and carrying out regular maintenance, we have our in-house tree cutting team to make sure that trees and vegetation are kept away from our overhead lines and equipment.
Using an array of Utility Arborist specific skills including live working, aerial tree work and mechanised equipment, you will work within a team of highly skilled arborists, managing trees and vegetation, near our distribution network. Safety will be at the forefront of all your activities and you’ll have to evaluate, prepare, and carry out tree cutting works on complex and varied sites, with your team.

**What do I need?**
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Enthusiasm and drive with a flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to changing business and project priorities, working in all weathers and occasionally away from home.
- Previous experience in tree cutting, forestry or arboriculture. A passion for outdoor working in all weather conditions in a similar capacity would also be considered.
- Relevant NPTC certificate units for the use of chainsaws, and a qualification or certificates including NPTC UA.
- Holding experience of working with power lines, and climbing would be highly advantageous, and A passion for outdoor working in all weather across the beautiful Scottish Countryside
- High regard for safety, embedding yourself in our safety culture and adhering to guidelines in everything you do is a key priority.
