**Working Hours: Rotating shift pattern, Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30 | 09:30 - 18:00 occasional Saturday work may be required.**

If you are looking to learn the skills for a career in an automotive Parts Department in a premium global company then keep reading We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Parts Apprentice based at our Dumfries branch. You will have the opportunityto learn all aspects of the Scania parts business by working in our commercial workshop and will learn about the Scania Parts operation and provide support to the Parts Department ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained.

**Responsibilities**
- Attend training courses to become capable of identifying parts / stock control
- Conform to all customer site requirements & regulations
- Assist the Parts Supervisor in ensuring the availability of parts
- Assist in checking incoming stock against delivery note
- Ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained to meet daily operational demands
- Assist in ensuring a robust stock control process exists and regular stock checks are carried
- Ensure that parts department housekeeping is maintained in line with Scania and customer requirements and that an audit process is in place to monitor these standards on an on-going basis
- Ensure that the highest standards of Health & Safety and safe working practices are being applied within the parts department and other designated areas

- Ability to work within guidelines given and to strict deadlines

- A desire to learn as more training will be provided on the fabrication side
- Ability to actively seek solutions to problems
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer care skills
- Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
