San Carlo Alderley Edge are hiring a Waiter/ Waitress

**Our story**

The Distefano family, spanning two generations, started San Carlo over 30 years ago and seen it grow to twenty-five authentic Italian restaurants across the UK - from Covent Garden, Piccadilly and Knightsbridge in London to Bristol, Leicester, Liverpool Leeds, Cheshire and Manchester and with a growing number overseas - including Kuwait, Bangkok and Qatar and with new sites set to open in Bahrain, Dubai.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greeting guests as they arrive at the restaurant and escorting them to their table
- Presenting menus to guests and taking orders for food and drinks
- Making recommendations to guests regarding food and beverage selections
- Serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
- Checking on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues
- Processing payment for meals and handling cash and credit card transactions
- Assisting with the setup and clean-up of the restaurant before and after service
- Cleaning and resetting tables for the next guests
- Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure that food and beverages are delivered accurately and on time

**Required Qualifications & Experience**:

- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and mínimal direction

**The Company**

The San Carlo story first began in 1992 in Birmingham, when Carlo Distefano opened the first San Carlo restaurant. San Carlo quickly became a favourite with many of the city's residents due to its authentic Italian food, ambient atmosphere, and high standards of service.

San Carlo now operates throughout the country with leading restaurants in Bristol, Leicester, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds & London.
