**License Design Specialist (Graphic Designer)**
As License Design Specialist, you will play a key role on Primark’s Licensing team working with the Lead License Designer, you will drive License Creative through graphic ideation for Primark alongside the central License team.

**What will you be doing?**

**Trend & Research**
- Identify emerging graphic trends through extensive research, market insights, key trends and developments, translating these into potential License opportunities for Primark.
- Work with the License Designers to make connections between concepts and information to identify key graphic trends that will commercially impact on Primark's ranges.
- Actively contribute expertise, knowledge and insights to support and inform decision making on Licensing opportunities/direction.
- Demonstrates the ability to know when to move onto new trends quickly and communicates this confidently and effectively to influence the relevant audiences.

**Design & Execution**
- Work closely with the License Designers and Licensors to generate graphic direction proposals, that are aligned to Primark’s brand values, creating a consistent approach across all Product departments.
- Support License Designers on producing creative campaign direction to be used across the business.
- Produce monthly trend reports on the big license messages to be shared with relevant stakeholders across the business
- Support preparation of strategy presentations to Board/Senior Executive level stakeholder

**Commercial Awareness**
- Use your understanding of the Primark customer and regional differences and nuances between markets to make decisions.
- Keep up to date with knowledge of the retail industry, current landscape, future trends and opportunities
- Take learnings from previous collections and campaigns to ensure future Design direction is commercially relevant

**Collaboration**
- Collaborate with the License Designer to identity emerging trends in the external global environment and how this can translate to opportunities in the License world, by attending trade shows and inspirational trips.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the group and key internal and external stakeholders including Design and Buying.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships, with our external License partners throughout the creative process - across Licensors and Licensees and suppliers.

**Skills & Experience**:

- 3-5 years’ experience in a Fashion Retailer/Licensor/Licensee Business
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the License landscape
- Strong adaptive graphic ability.
- Excellent commercial design awareness and the ability to interpret and influence internal and external trends, including Gen Z.
- A global perspective - both local and global travel to meet product teams, Licensors and inspiration.
- Be a competent user of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop computer design packages
- Accuracy, attention to detail and a pro-active approach.
- Excellent planning, organising and co-ordinating skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, high level of energy and a positive can-do attitude.
