**Your new role**
Tasked with reducing cost, obtaining best value for money and managing supply chain risk, and further realisation of best practice procurement capability.
Annual spend within the scope of this role varies from year to year but is likely to be in the region of £40 - 50m
- Management of "People" spend including Agency Labour, Recruitment (Permanent & Interim), Training, Cultural Change, HR, Pension and Employee benefits contracts including healthcare, Travel, Conferences and Events
- Management of "Professional services" Spend including consultancy, legal services, audit and Accountancy services, Marketing & Advertising, Publications & Regulatory bodies, insurance brokerage and claims management

As a senior member of the procurement team, you will act as a role model and at times coach or sounding board for other members of the Procurement team
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven track record of working within a professional procurement environment and recent experience of tendering, negotiation and contract drafting
- Understanding and experience of category strategy development and implementation
- Strong team player with the ability to manage a varied workload, who works on their own initiative whilst aligning with UK and European Procurement Strategy and contributing to the achievement of functional aims and objectives
- Ability to interpret and draft contractual documents and interrogate, manipulate and interpret large datasets to deliver meaningful insights and inform decision making

**What you'll get in return**
Option to work form home 2 or 3 days a week
Salary £80 - 85,000 + Car / Allowance + Bonus
