Key Responsibilities:

- Operate Mazak CNC turning centers, including setup, adjustment, and tool changeovers.
- Interpret technical drawings and work orders to understand the specifications and requirements of the parts to be produced.
- Program Mazak CNC machines using Mazatrol or relevant software, optimising the programming for efficiency and quality.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers) to ensure products meet or exceed specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure their optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet manufacturing schedules and deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency in the production area.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in CNC machining preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner, specifically with Mazak machines, is required.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience with Mazatrol programming language or similar.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
