**Trainee Mortgage Advisor**

**£23,000- 70,000**

Are you a newly qualified mortgage adviser unable to secure a role due to lack of experience? Working in retail banking or in a telemarketing setting and frustrated by a lack of opportunities to earn great money?

If you have the personality, drive and work ethic to succeed then we have the opportunity for you. My client is a Top 50 mortgage producer nationally and ranks in the Top 5 of new build specialists.

The objective of the 3-month training programme for a Trainee Mortgage Advisor will be:

- Gain experience of pre-qualifying clients to get buyers in a position to make an offer on a property.
- Build lender criteria knowledge and the ability to determine buyer affordability and creditworthiness.
- Learn new and develop your existing sales skills.
- Learn how to handle high volumes of business with accuracy and efficiency.
- Gain experience of working in accordance with strict business processes and protocols, including working with our Case Management Team

**The ideal Trainee Mortgage Advisor will have the following credentials**:

- CeMap qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in the financial industry
- Experience of new build preferred but not essential - Unfazed by, and experience of, a fast-paced, deadline-driven and telephone-based working environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- First-class inter-personal, customer handling and influencing skills
- Expert communicator; both written and verbal
- Full UK driving license
- Able to demonstrate and evidence that they embody our Core Values:
**Practicalities for a Trainee Mortgage Advisor**
- Monday to Sunday (40 hrs per week)
- Once advising 100%, predominantly Monday - Friday, although there will be some weekend work required.
- Occasional overtime available
- 3-month training program including transition from Qualifying Team into Mortgage Advice
- Office based for the first 3-6 months
- 2 mortgage appointments per day with pre-qualified clients once advising 100%
- Exemplary credit history and bank account conduct required
- Protection and home insurance referred

**Remuneration & Terms for a Trainee Mortgage Advisor**
- Permanent & full-time role
- Basic salary £23,000 + Commission initially (OTE £27,000 uncapped)
- Salary increasing to £25,000 on CAS status (OTE £45,000 - £60,000 uncapped)
- Salary progresses up to £30,000 once proficient and handling 10 appointments per week reliably. (OTE £65,000-75,000 uncapped)
- Automatic 2% annual pay increases after 2 years’ service
- 20 Days holiday, increasing by 1 day per annum of service up to a maximum of 25 days + Bank Holidays
