_Site Services Assistant _
**Job Description**:

- Site services assistant required for maintenance and cleaning duties at a local school, to work as part of a team.
- 35 hours per week.
- Able to use own initiative and work to a high standard.
- Take pride in keeping the environment clean and tidy.
- Possess knowledge and skills required to undertake maintenance tasks and minor repairs.
- Experience of Health & Safety relevant to the care and maintenance of property
- Paid holiday entitlement.
- Uniform will be provided.
- Experience preferred.
- Own transport required
- DBS check will be required.

This role is for 35 hours per week Mon-Fri. Hours and times of working may vary during school closure periods. You will have an annual leave allocation which must be taken at times suitable to the school’s needs.

**Salary**: £20,020

Caretaking/Cleaning Duties
- General porter duties including promptly taking deliveries from reception to the appropriate department.
- Laying out, clearing and stacking of furniture as required
- Clearing pathways and steps, using salt/grit during periods of snow and ice
- Cleaning of specified areas.
- Cleaning leaves, drains and gullies, patrolling grounds collecting litter, emptying litter bins etc.

Maintenance
- Conducting minor repairs, minor painting and decorating, minor plumbing tasks, replacing light bulbs etc.
- Liaising with Site manager to arrange contractors for larger repairs when required
- Supervising contractors when on site
- Inspection of building looking for early signs of problems and reporting defects and other maintenance requirements to the Site Manager

Security/Safety
- To be a keyholder responsible for opening and locking the school, including setting the alarm system.
- To be aware of safeguarding and security procedures as well as confidentiality and data protection policies
- To work in a safe manner for both yourself and others

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour
