**Job Title**: SEND EHC Coordinator
**Location**: Based at either Apsley or Stevenage, with travel across areas within Hertfordshire
**Starting Salary**:£32,076 pa with the opportunity to progress to £34,834 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

**What does the role involve?**

We are creating opportunities for you to specialise in the following areas: early years, school-age, further education and for those with significant additional vulnerabilities such as being in the care of Hertfordshire County Council or are struggling to attend schools.

You'll support families and schools within one of the specialist areas listed above, to understand the statutory process for SEND and what our local offer of support means for them. This includes attending meetings to discuss needs and provision; writing or amending EHC plans with a focus on ensuring progress and outcomes; and managing placement or provision requests that come in from schools and parents. A key part of the role is developing relationships with parents, and professionals across education, health and care.

**We are looking for you to have**:

- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act 2014.
- Educated to A level or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of literacy to support good case recording and quality EHC plans.
- Hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work
- Desirable: previous experience working in schools to deliver SEND provision or experience with other stakeholders including parents, education, care and health.

The SEND service coordinates assessments, reviews and provision for children and young people in Hertfordshire who have special educational needs and / or disabilities. The team focuses on coordinating professionals across education, health and care and coproducing plans and provision with families.

**Salary**: £32,076.00-£34,834.00 per year
