The NHS Business Services Authority (BSA) is currently recruiting for Applications Processing staff to work in our Customer Support department, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, providing administrative support for a number of services. We are a shared services organisation for NHS bodies and BSA departments.

In this role, you are accountable for:

agreed timescales. To work to agreed performance and accuracy targets.
7. To update amend and annotate relevant actions on computerised systems to ensure that the appropriate certificates/forms are
issued to the customer or the correct details are held for the customer.
8. Responsible for daily quality checking of samples from all streams of work, recording errors and ensuring correction of these
errors is carried out within an agreed timescale.
10. Responsible for sorting incoming and outgoing mail for processing.
11.Works in an organised manner and complies with office systems already in place to ensure that paperwork is labelled, dated and
filed together and can be easily identified and quickly retrieved when necessary.
12. Responsible for the security of documents, information and equipment under their control and undertakes all duties with due
regards to the terms of the Data Protection Act.
13. To use discretion when deciding whether a customer is entitled to a refund/reimbursement and has autonomy to decide if a
customer does not have to pay a penalty charge.
14.Processes large financial payments to customers and confirms this with both customers and, if relevant, other NHS
organisations.
15. Reports to other NHS organisations on their financial obligations to pay customers.
16. Liaises with customers, both internal and external, to deal with more complex queries regarding payments and other issues.

**Salary**: £20,270.00-£21,318.00 per year
