**We have a new role for a Payroll Specialist - Part time, 21 hours a week on a one-year FTC within a professional service company based in the City.**
This role will administrate all the payroll processes for the business's clients. If you have proven experience as a Payroll Specialist within Financial or Professional Services and have managed this across multiple locations, we'd love to hear from you.
**Some of the responsibilities of the role include**:
- Process client payrolls accurately and in a timely fashion, following payroll procedures
- Take ownership of a portfolio of clients with an expectation to meet with the client as and when required, including attending meetings at clients' premises, and regular discussions via conference calls
- Prepare monthly payslips for client employees and directors
- Assist the Client Payroll Manager in making such arrangements for the payment of client payroll wages, salaries and statutory payments as are required by agreement and statute.
- Prepare Year End returns for clients, including P60s, P11Ds and PSA's
- Quality assurance and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with advice and guidance and answer queries arising from the Payroll Assistants.
**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist within Financial or Professional Services
- STAR software experience is ESSENTIAL
- An understanding of complex PAYE and NI query resolution
- Good interpersonal, client relationship and communication skills
- Able to build positive and respectful relationships at all levels across the organisation
- Good judgement and problem-solving skills
- Must display exceptional attention to detail
