Macildowie are working with a **well-**recognised business**.**They are looking to recruit a **Commercial Analyst**in to their team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role as part of the growth strategy.

The team this role is part of works very closely with Sales/Commercial and Operations teams, to help to provide decision-making support on pricing deals and marketing. This role is an integral part of the process and works closely with a variety of stakeholders.

Based from their office in Derby, you will gain unrivalled visibility across the whole business, learning the ins and outs of business strategy, how the moneys made and how the business grows.

**So what is the job?**
- Gather and analyse relevant information and data, including pricing, capacity, sales patterns, and promotional performance, and market, competitor, and customer trends.
- Provide analysis, information, and recommendations for weekly revenue management meetings with the Commercial Director, focusing on risks and opportunities
- Agree a robust process for decision making relating to price changes, consolidation of and expansion of capacity to support the delivery of budget and forecast performance
- Work with Product and Marketing teams to identify areas to drive sales into specific itineraries and departures to maximise contribution
- Support pricing and profitability activity for new sector service solutions, ensuring launches are appropriately planned across the business with clear targets in place and communicated
- Develop pricing models and a long term strategy for new deals and revenue
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes for revenue, direct costs, gross profit providing insight and challenge where necessary
- Provide and communicate clear analysis on optimal capacity, pricing, and promotional strategy by itinerary to enable clear objectives and targets to be set aligning to business strategy and objectives
- To assist in new product propositions - support business case production with product teams that shows potential contribution, setting initial forecast/budgets for the product and how the proposition compares to any competition
- Improve existing KPI reporting and develop new tools to improve efficiency and quality of information to enable fully informed decision making
- Monitor competitors' pricing, promotions, and availability and develop recommendations to ensure we remain competitive in our desired market position
- Monitor and report net incremental contribution generated from yield management activity vs budget / forecast and drive actions to manage variances and deliver target performance

**What are you like?**
- Demonstrable experience gained in similar role(s) in a consumer-led business.
- Highly proficient in Excel, including data analysis and financial modelling of pricing, volume, and profitability.
- Self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, and resilience to succeed in a fast paced and challenging environment.
- An eye for and attention to detail.
- Gravitas and credibility to work with and gain buy-in from leadership team and senior managers, and ability to develop working relationships with their team members.
- Adaptable, flexible, willing to 'roll sleeves up' and tackle a range of issues.
- A natural curiosity into the market and competitors to help supplement analysis and findings.
- Experience in private equity or similarly leveraged groups would be advantageous but not essential.
