Approved Tax is a start-up boutique consultancy firm specialising in helping businesses access Research and Development (R&D) tax relief. We provide expert guidance and support to companies across various industries, including construction, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, food and beverage, and software development.

We are seeking a motivated and analytical individual with an engineering background to join our team as an R&D Technical Consultant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about innovation, problem-solving, and wants to work in a fast pace dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
**Industry Research**:Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in tax legislation related to R&D activities.

**Technical Analysis**:Conducting technical assessments of clients' R&D projects and activities to determine eligibility for R&D tax relief. Provide guidance on eligible expenditures, and communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

**Claim Preparation**:Support the preparation of R&D tax relief claims, including drafting technical narratives, quantifying eligible costs, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and guidelines.

**Quality Assurance**:Conduct reviews and quality checks on R&D tax claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering).
- 2+ years industry experience in the relevant fields (e.g., engineering, construction).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

**Approved Tax is able to offer an extremely competitive salary dependent upon previous experience, plus a generous bonus scheme.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
