A unique opportunity has become available for a Head of Finance to join our client who are going through complex, yet exciting change. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position needs someone to design and deliver the financial five-year strategy, whilst also nurturing, coaching and leading a dynamic finance team.

**Head of Finance Responsibilities**

Some of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Design and deliver the financial plan aligned with five-year strategy
- Develop influential working relationships internally and externally
- Provide accurate financial status reports, budgets, and forecasts to the Board and senior leadership
- Lead, motivate, and coach the finance team, embedding effective processes and systems
- Provide rigorous financial analysis for decision-making
- Lead on legal and contracts support in bidding and tender processes
- Oversee internal quality assurance and contract management
- Support Directorates and Company-wide programs to maximize expenditure impact
- Lead external and internal audits and mitigate organizational risks
- Drive annual budgeting and in-year forecasting processes

**Head of Finance Experience**

This position would suit a senior and qualified professional with demonstrable experience within a senior finance business partnering, or Head Of Finance position. Excellent leadership qualities and people management skills are highly essential, along with evident exposure of impactful business partnering knowledge, as well as strategic planning and budgeting experience. Working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, you will be highly professional, proficient and able to build relationships quickly. An ability to drive business ideas and influence senior stakeholders would be advantageous. A strong understanding of data protection and GDPR, and experience of Xero accounting software would be beneficial.

**Location**

This role will be based in the office in Harwell, 3 days a week and 2 days can be worked from home. There is free on-sire parking available and close to public transport links.
