Consultant Anaesthetist

**About The Role**:
We are seeking a career anaesthetist in Plymouth who is ready to join a small team of dedicated clinicians striving for excellence in an efficient unit whose main workload is orthopaedics but also includes general surgery.
As a consultant anaesthetist you will be involved with all aspects of the patient pathways from pre-assessment, through peri-operative and post-operative ward management and would be expected to be conversant in a range of anaesthetic techniques with particular skills in daycase anaesthesia, resuscitation and regional techniques appropriate to our wide range of operative procedures which in orthopaedics involve all major joints.
At Practice Plus Group we believe in supporting each other and sharing best practice and you would be expected to become an integral part of that team of consultants led by the Medical Director, Hospital Director and Senior leadership management team as well as attending meetings and contributing to teaching of our centre staff.
**About You**:
With a current registration with the GMC’s specialist register of anaesthetists you’ll have several years’ experience, at least 2 of which are within the UK. You are committed to your own continuing medical education and professional development. We will also support you to ensure ongoing medical competence through participation in the annual revalidation and reaccreditation schemes of the GMC and the Royal College of Anaesthetists. As well as providing mandatory training through our excellent in-house education programme. We could even give you the opportunity to develop into a specialist role of your interest.
