Transport Planner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our logistics team at Annat, Fort William.

As one of our Transport Planners you will be playing a central role in creating effective transport plans for our customers. You will ensure compliance to both customer and legal requirements through effective processing, reporting and management of requirements.

**Working as part of a dynamic team, duties will include**:

- Being a member of the transport team; liaising regularly with the rest of the team
- Effective management and planning of drivers, through on-going communication and using our state-of-the-art transport software
- Ensuring compliance to both customer and legal requirements through effective processing, reporting and management of requirements and associated procedures
- Controlling and planning an agreed amount of resource (vehicles, drivers, trailers); ensuring all legal requirements are adhered to (Working Time Directive and EU drivers’ hours regulations)
- Customer liaison
- Reviewing ongoing performance against pre-agreed KPI
- Understanding and achieving key performance targets relating to the safety and efficiency of our fleet and ensuring KPI reports are completed as required
- Update trailer and vehicle boards
- Constantly communicate with our customer service teams and drivers to ensure customer KPI’s and targets are achieved and maintained
- The ability to conduct themself in a business like and professional manner at all times
