Siemens Advanta is looking to reinforce its team with a driven and conceptually strong Solution Architect. You will be based in the UK, collaborating with, and steering both on
- and offshore teams in EMEA regions. Traveling is required. You will work in a start-up like, dynamic and international team environment and provide eMeter EnergyIP content knowledge in a consulting manner, supporting the creation of customised solutions, estimation, design, and integration through the entire delivery life cycle based upon the EnergyIP Framework.

**What part will you play?**
- You will be the visionary and technical leader of projects: Liaising with project managers, technical consultants and validation engineers will be part of your new role
- You will steer and coach both offshore and onshore teams in the EnergyIP Custom Framework
- Acting as an expert for end-to-end smart metering processes and use cases will also be a part of your responsibilities
- Also, you will convince and/or influence potential customers of our Siemens Advanta vision and solutions
- You will manage customer expectations regarding requirements and ensure customer satisfaction
- Supporting the delivery function by bringing business experience and understanding to the solution will also be part of your responsibilities
- You will review the custom results of the analysis and design phase (functional design, technical design, test strategy, -approach and -plan, deployment concept, etc).
- In addition, you will be responsible for verifying customer requirements and assessing impact while proposing solutions to change requests
- You will be the central point of contact for the customer on solution architecture topics

**Your day-to-day responsibilities.**
- You will develop your own solutions based on current and future business requirements, best practices and industry standards
- Also, you will assist the project manager in confirming the scope, developing and/or reviewing estimates and assumptions for the project schedule, effort and cost using established estimating models, best practices, past experience and input from project team members
- You will review customer requirements and identify requirements that cannot be met in the standard solution configuration and require further customization
- You will also lead the design and delivery team for the proposed solution and lead the development design phase
- You will evaluate the impact and propose solutions for change requests
- In addition, you will coach the growth of the offshore development team

**What you need to make real what matters.**
- You have demonstratable experience in Solution and Infrastructure technologies
- You bring full Product / Software Development Life cycle experience, including definition, requirements gathering, configuration and delivery
- You have proven working experience with the data management platfrom EnergyIP
- A consultant and commercial mindset characterizes you
- Having a strong acumen to fit portfolio/solutions to customer problems are a matter of course for you
- Ideally, you bring know-how about engineering and manufacturing processes as well as architecture
- We are happy to rely on your broad knowledge of common hyperscalers and on-premise software providers
- A result-oriented and structured way of working characterize you
- You bring creativity, openness to new perspectives and a good portion of empathy
- You have a willingness to travel
- You speak business fluent English
