**HOURS**:37 ½ hours per wk -Mon - Thurs 0815 - 1700/ Fri 0815 - 1245

(Overtime hours possible)

**LOCATION**:Norwich, NR7 - Office based role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Planner Assistant. In this role, you will support the production planning team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing process. You will assist in coordinating production schedules, tracking inventory levels, and analysing data to optimise production efficiency.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The main responsibilities will include:

- Assist in creating and maintaining the production schedules, and ensure all relevant documents are issued in a timely manner. These include: shop order bar coded paperwork, shop order pick list, drawings and any other additional paperwork required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production goals are met
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain to ensure availability of materials
- Update on a daily bases the company’s internal ERP system - IFS
- Generate reports via the ERP system to check material availability and shortage notifications, and issue to departments when required
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement necessary changes
- Participate in production meetings and provide input on production planning strategies
- Any other such duties that may be reasonably compatible with the nature and scope of the role

**ABOUT THE PERSON**
- Qualified to a minimum of a Level 3 standard (A Levels, NVQs or equivalent) in a related discipline
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
- Have a general understanding of manufacturing or production processes
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data
- Proficient in MS office, especially excel
- Knowledge and experience of an ERP or MRP system, ideally IFS or equivalent
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Be able to learn new skills quickly, and have a friendly, flexible attitude to your work
