**Technical Assessor - £19,000 - £26,000 dependant on experience + Benefits - Portishead**

**The Role

We are looking for a highly organised individual who has excellent time management to join our team as a Technical Assessor. We are looking for a highly organised individual who has excellent time management to join our team as a Technical Assessor You willassist with soil waste management enquiries and provide support to the engineering team. You will also ensure compliance of all treatment and disposal quotations with environmental permits and work with site manager & site supervisor where applicable to organiselogistics.

The role would suit a graduate or someone with 1-2 years experience in a similar position.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Technical Assessor include, but are not limited to:

- Assessment Classification of soils data using dedicated software.
- Control of waste movements and tracking.
- Assisting clients with soil disposal queries.
- Assisting in other office duties and supporting engineering team.
- Collecting Soil samples and preparing for analysis.
- Liaise closely with waste Manager, Technical and Operational functions to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
- Review completed waste acceptance documentation to ensure routes and costs have been allocated correctly.
- Opportunities to contribute to other aspects of the business.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Technical Assessor are:

- Chemistry or environmental based degree.
- Accurate data entry skills and detailed collection and interpretation.
- Knowledge of MS Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Report writing skills.
- Lab experience (educational or work)
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, and staff.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Awareness of environmental issues.
