We are currently seeking a Housing Officer (Arabic Speaking) - (Greater Belfast)
The Housing Officer will be responsible for organizing & carrying out H&S inspections with placements, sub-contractors, landlords & external bodies to ensure all jobs.
Meet new placements at properties to ensure a smooth transition during the referral process. Carry out all work while adhering to Tarasis’s policies and procedures.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Organize & carry out routine Health & Safety inspections of occupied properties across Greater Belfast to identify issues while liaising with the housing maintenance department to and resolve any issues.
- Meet with placements, landlords, letting agents, maintenance workers & external 3rd parties at properties to resolve any maintenance or compliance issues that may arise and report back any findings to main office.
- Carry out electronic check-out reports and liaise with the maintenance department to increase efficiencies of void properties.
- Carry out inspections of vacant properties after the ‘Change of Tenancy’ process has been completed to ensure Tarasis Housing property standards have been met.
- Ensure both the electric & heating is working in vacant properties before a placement moves in.
- Manage placement switchovers of gas & electric
- Liaise with main office to meet referrals at vacant properties & demonstrate use of all heating & electrical systems.
- Ensure all lease agreements are signed & correctly logged onto the Housing Management System
- Ensure that all placements adhere to the lease agreement & deliver verbal and written warnings when appropriate.
- Deal with all queries correctly and appropriately and ensure they are dealt with within the correct timeframe.
- Ensure all Tarasis Housing policies and procedures are always adhered to
What we need from you;
- Arabic Speaking
- Previous experience in Housing Role.
- Ability to work under pressure to achieve objectives within timescales, without compromising accuracy and quality.
- Extremely organized, with the ability to make intelligent decisions when faced with competing priorities.
- Excellent at both verbal and written communication, with great interpersonal skill and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, such as Excel and word
- Own transport with full European driving licence and business class insurance
