**Finance Assistant - Part Time - Permanent - Grimsby**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our client’s well-established team in Grimsby. This is a part-time position working 15 hours per week (3 hours per day x 5 days per week).
**Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include but are not limited to**:
- Managing banking and petty cash transactions
- Running reports
- Process remittances
- Credit control
- Assist in matters relating to staff pay
- Processing of month-end invoices for charges to local authorities
- Processing of purchase invoices
- Preparation, checking, correcting and processing of payroll for weekly paid staff
- Contacting local authorities to chase up outstanding invoice payments
- Ensuring all records are kept up to date
- Attend and contribute to monthly team meetings
- Using a centralised organisational purchasing system, identify potential savings
- Reception duties
- Managing incoming calls ensuring they are dealt with in a professional and confident manner and all messages are clearly taken
**The Perfect Finance Assistant will be**:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- AAT qualification would be advantageous
- Financial administration experience, including payroll preparation and purchase/sales ledger is essential
- Experience of working with high degree of autonomy is essential
- Sage 50 - Must have a good working knowledge (desirable)
