**Job Description**:
**Surrey and Sussex Healthcare - 12.5 hours per week, 6 months temporary sick/maternity cover role.**
**Based at East Surrey Hospital, Canada Ave, Redhill RH1 5RH**
**Interviews to be held 11th September at East Surrey Hospital.**
Working in a team undertaking the screening of babies in the first few days of their new life, you will be a reliable individual with good communication skills and at ease working with mothers and very young babies. You will be passionate about delivering a family friendly yet professional experience for both mother and baby during the screening process. This role is being offered on a 12.5 hour working week on a rota basis.
If this role appeals to you, you will need to go through a formal interview and will be expected to undertake Enhanced Clearance.
Whilst this is a part time role, you will be expected to work a rota system including Saturdays and Sundays. Full training will be provided.
You may be required to work additional hours (paid) during unforeseen sickness of team members or very high birth rate periods.
If you are a good communicator self-motivated and want to be part of an exciting service then this role could be for you.
**Qualifications**:
Essential
- Previous experience of working with the general public
- Good level or numeracy & literacy
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Willing and able to deliver the initial results of the test at the time of the screening
Desirable
- Previous experience in Newborn Hearing Screening or a healthcare environment
