The company are seeking a Lead Cladding Technician to work at their UKAS-accredited Fire Test and Research Laboratory in Gloucestershire.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Assisting with the production of quotes
- Documentation of the cladding installation
- Supervision of contractors
- Instrumentation of the cladding rigs
- Conducting the fire tests in accordance with the FPA health and safety policies and procedures
- Processing of data
- Writing of reports
- Promptly identifying problems and reporting immediately to the Construction Manager

**SKILLS REQUIRED**:

- Computer literate
- Practical skills (use of hand tools, wiring etc.)
- Ability to deal with subcontractors and suppliers
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Good management skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Good understanding of Health and Safety principles
- Understanding of the construction methods for external walls would be helpful

**DESIREBLE**:

- Minimum of GCSE grade C and above (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- A levels and/or further education in maths, sciences, and engineering desirable
- Construction and installation experience
