**Secondary Teaching Assistant**

**Sheffield (S9), South Yorkshire**

**Temporary to permanent position**

**Full-time, Monday - Friday (term time only)**

**8.15am - 3.15pm**

**£90 per day**

Unique School Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a large school to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within their secondary school starting after the Easter holidays on a temporary to permanent basis.

**The successful Teaching Assistant will**:

- Work as part of the academy/department to support interventions with students who require additional mentoring to achieve GCSE's.
- Work with other small groups and individual students across Key Stage 3 and 4 as required.
- Promote the learning and welfare of students by providing practical and learning support to students, including those with special needs under the direction of a class teacher/Inclusion Manager.

**Essential requirements for the role**:

- Experience working in a school environment.
- 5 GCSE's including English and Maths or equivalent.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office packages, SIMS, databases and web technologies.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to relate to students in a pleasant the sympathetic manner and to recognise potential child safeguarding issues.
- Understanding of national curriculum and other basic learning programmes/techniques.
