Vegan Baker

We are looking for a whizz in the kitchen

If you are a top notch baker and can whip up a tasty and nutritious salad too, we want to hear from you.

This role could be either part time or full time (if you are happy to work in other areas of the cafe too - such as front of house). If part-time, your hours could be flexible. We wouldn't need you to work while the cafe is open so you could do early mornings or later in the evening if this would work better for you.

You will have solid experience in batch baking and food prep in a similar hospitality environment with level 3 food hygiene and also allergen training (we will also do our own allergen training). You will be responsible and accurate in your work methods and will keep the kitchen clean and tidy. You will keep accurate food records and adhere to Food Safety and Hygiene regulations with a strong understanding of allergens.

If working full-time hours, your role would also include working in other areas of the cafe, including serving customers, making drinks and clearing tables.

- Good organisational and communication skills, record keeping and a focus on cleanliness with attention to detail._
- Quick learner with efficient working style._
- Ability to operate calmly and efficiently under pressure _
- Passion for vegan food with an interest in planning specials, soups and salads as well as the ability to follow the standard menu with consistency._
- Awareness and understanding of costing dishes._
- Experience in a similar environment (1 year minimum)._
- Flexibility._

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £10.50-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 30 per week
