Job title: Preventative Maintenance Engineer
Location: Carrington, Greater Manchester

**Salary**: £38,000 per annum

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join a thriving team at a recycling depot in Carrington, Greater Manchester. You will be responsible for both planned and unplanned maintenance, ensuring it is carriedout in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations regarding equipment
- To comply with all Health and Safety regulations regarding equipment installations, maintenance and daily inspections
- Ensure any operational issues are reported promptly
- To ensure that the depot is maintained allowing the facility to be operated at its optimum
- Keeps accurate maintenance record keeping against planned and unplanned maintenance work
- Complete defect reports in a timely manner and report into the line manager
- To plan, follow up and document the preventive maintenance for the equipment
- Managing subcontractors, including positive communication and invoicing in timely manner
- To manage spare parts stock and where necessary find spare parts alternatives
- To chase subcontractors for daily updates on equipment services
- To maintain industry sector knowledge, especially Best Available Techniques ( BAT)

Qualifications/Experience:

- Mechanical or Electrical Engineer qualifications - Essential
- 3 - 5 years experience in maintenance roles
- Practical engineering experience
- Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
- Experience of automated equipment including recycling machinery
- Maximo - Desirable
- IOSH/NEBOSH

Shift: 05:45 - 17:45 4 on 4 off shift pattern
