**TECHNOLOGY COACH/ TELECARE ASSISTANT**

**SALARY: GRADE 5 | SCP 11 - 17 | £25,979 - £28,770 PRO RATA**

**HRS/WEEK: 37 HRS**

**CONTRACT: Temporary until 31st March 2025**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Assistive Technology Service as a Technology Coach. This role will support the provision of new technologies within the community. We are looking for a highly motivated dynamic individual to join the team which is primarily based at the Ty Nant Ddu Resource Centre in Pontnewynydd.

You will develop and build on the existing skills of the current team who are committed to providing a quality service. You will be required to work in partnership with health, social care, and housing colleagues to support service users to live safely in their own homes.

The primary focus for the post will involve travelling throughout Torfaen providing Technology Coaching on a one to one and group basis; supporting individuals to achieve ‘what matters to them’ and help improve their independence. You will have a good understanding of the current technology used in Torfaen and have a keen interest in new technologies and how they could benefit people to achieve greater independence.

In addition to being the dedicated Technology Coach you will also be required to carry out telecare assessments, installations, and other related tasks when necessary. Full training will be given.

You will require a driving licence and use of your own vehicle is essential. The post holder will have shared use the Assistive Technology van and a driving assessment will need to be completed.
