**Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Partnership**

The Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Partnership (DDSCP) has a key role in ensuring that agencies collaborate in safeguarding children across the area of its responsibility.

Responsible to the Partnership Manager, the Project Officer will have an important role providing project support for DDSCP to inform the development of strategy, improvement priorities and service planning to implement changes to local safeguarding arrangements arising from Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023) and associated guidance.

The post holder will support the Policy, Procedure and Regulation Officer, Exploitation and Vulnerably Young People’s Officer and other DDSCP business team members to coordinate activity with partner agencies to develop or update multi-agency safeguarding and/or other policies, procedures and practice guidance to ensure children are safeguarded and their welfare promoted across Derby and Derbyshire.

It is an exciting time at which to join the integrated Partnership team, supporting and driving forward a significant and wide-ranging agenda of service quality improvement, in collaboration with the statutory partners, schools and agencies across Derby and Derbyshire.

You must have:

- A professional qualification consistent with the function of Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Partnership partner agencies
- A good understanding of the full range of safeguarding responsibilities of the local authority, and partner agencies including the police, health services and the education sector
- The ability to organise workload/work on own initiative
- The ability to work effectively within a team with integrity and a willingness to find team solutions to delivering the partnership business plan
