Caretaker/Handyman

Location: East London

Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM to 5PM

We have a temporary opportunity for a caretaker/handyman to be based at a busy residential site in East London. This is a temporary role for approximately 1 month but with the potential to turn into a permanent role.

You will have a positive can-do attitude and provide excellent and professional service to clients and customers. Your primary role is to assist in keeping the site clean and tidy as well as diagnosing and fixing minor maintenance issues throughout the development.You will have a range of jobs and expectations not limited to:

- sweeping, and removal of refuse
- Minor plumbing issues eg tap replacement and sealant replacement
- Minor electrics
- Basic woodwork
- Jet washing outside areas
- Assisting contractors that are on site.
- Reporting defects/incidents (either observed or reported) and to take the corrective action after consultation with the Property Manager.
- Replacing light bulbs to communal or external areas if required.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance/lighting issues.
- Undertaking routine maintenance.
- To work in accordance with the company's Health & Safety Policy.
- To undertake any other duty as requested by your Line Manager.

You will be expected to:

- Take a customer focused approach to everything you do.
- Carry out works in an efficient and safe manner
- Carry out all jobs adhering to the highest safety procedures
- Explain to customers the nature of the job and what you have done to resolve it.
- Have a smiley and approachable manner
- Be good with technology to be about to use systems.

Qualifications and experience:
There are some requirements for this role listed below
- Skills in painting and decorating, carpentry, replacing silicone, door handles etc
- Customer facing skills
- Excellent communications skills (essential)
- Organised with strong team management skills (essential)
- Good personal presentation (essential)
