We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded individual to join our Clients Sales Team at their recently acquired site based in Corby, Northamptonshire.

The Role:
Processing customer quotations and securing orders consisting of both stock, and back to back sales of aluminium, stainless and mild steel. Maintaining and developing current customer relationships, as well as increasing the existing customer database usingyour skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

- Learning and understanding about different grades and uses of ferrous, and non-ferrous metals.
- Building relationships with new and existing customers in order maximise profit on all orders.
- Understanding processing capabilities, and then upselling them to customers.
- Following through orders from quotation to P.O.D, ensuring the customer receives the best service possible.
- Identifying areas to develop on individual accounts.
- Building good working relationships with suppliers to ensure the best cost prices are achieved. Required Skills & Abilities:

- Good telephone manner, as well as face to face when required.
- Quick learner and able to pick up and develop new skills.
- IT literate
- Good mathematical skills, working out weights, kilo rates and margins.
- The ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Being proactive during quiet periods to generate enquiries. Desired Experience: We are looking for someone with experience in either a sales, manufacturing, purchasing, or a customer service role. A background in any type of the metal industry would bea massive advantage.
