Yardsman/shunter

We are currently looking for a Yard/Shunter to join our team at Bishopsgate Tamworth.

You'll be working from Monday to Friday, with no bank holiday working, so you'll benefit from a great work-life balance and have more time to yourself. The overall purpose of the role is to carry out all yard tasks and moving vehicles around the yard.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To recycle waste into the correct bins/skips
- Tipping loading/unloading vehicles using a forklift (counterbalance)
- Tachograph reading vehicles
- Observe, recognise and report on vehicle component defects.
- Move company vehicles to the required destination within the allotted depot
- Carry out building or yard cleaning as detailed by the supervisor.
- Perform any ancillary duties which maybe required from time to time.
- In addition to the foregoing the post holder will be expected to carry out any additional duties as directed by their supervisor / management which they deem is within the job holders capabilities.

**Full driving licence, counterbalance & Class 1 license will be required**

Shunter licence will be desirable

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- Shunting: 1 year (preferred)

**Salary**: £118.00-£126.00 per day
