**What you'll be doing**:
In this role you will have overall managerial and strategic responsibility for the decontamination and sterilisation services in the hospital, ensuring that instruments and equipment are decontaminated and sterilised and that equipment is maintained in a safe and compliant environment in accordance with national guidelines and the hospital's standards. As the CSSD Lead, you will also provide clear and consistent leadership to all staff in CSSD, maintaining a visible presence in line with the local theatre operational plan.

The department provides a comprehensive system-wide decontamination service for reusable medical devices. This includes collection, cleaning, thermal disinfection, inspection, packing, steam sterilising and distribution.

We have strong control processes to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and above all, we’re passionate about giving our patients the best possible care and helping them feel better, faster.

**What we’ll look for in you**:
We are looking for an experienced CSSD Technician with relevant leadership experience who is committed to providing a high quality service and will strive to ensure we minimise the risk of cross infection. You will also ideally hold a relevant qualification in Sterile Services.
