Band 7 Highly Specialist Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapist for Early Supported Discharge and Stroke Rehabilitation Services based in Caernarfon.

Stroke services in North Wales are changing. With significant new investment, we are building our therapy teams to lead and deliver excellent clinical care for our population. Our services will become led by Consultant Therapists and our growing stroke MDT team will establish high quality acute stroke care, with a new early supported stroke discharge (ESD) team and stroke-dedicated in-patient rehab team.

This is an opportunity for you to join us on this journey within ESD and Stroke Rehabilitation - transforming care through being part of an innovative, energetic new multi-disciplinary team.

You will be part of the friendly and supportive Adult SLT team where there is a wide range of expertise and experience. You will join a growing team of SLTs and TIs. There is excellent peer support.

We have an opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and highly motivated Speech and Language Therapist. We are looking for a clinical specialist who can support and develop SLTs and TIs, represent SLT within the MDT and drive the future development of excellent stroke services. You will work with our newly-appointed dedicated stroke MDT to develop high quality care pathways and training plans, contributing to building a culture of research and development, with strong links to our local Universities here in N Wales. For this key clinical role, we are looking for a passionate SLT with a strong clinical background in stroke and adult services, with clinical leadership experience that has demonstrated an ability to develop the skills and knowledge of others.

We have regular team meetings and have strong links with other specialist services. Clinical supervision is actively encouraged and there are regular cross team CPD and training opportunities as you continue to develop and hone your clinical skills. You will lead a range of service improvements and MDT initiatives are encouraged.

We're very happy to answer any questions you may have and welcome informal visits.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this role - Welsh to be learned within 12 months of appointment
