This will be a key role in the strategic leadership of EYFS in Northwood Community Primary, and in the relentless pursuit of our ambition to improve outcomes for all pupils. Under the direction of the Headteacher and the Deputy Headteachers you will play a lead role in driving the aims and objectives of EYFS and pro-actively lead and manage provision for EYFS, leading inclusive practice in the phase through removing barriers to learning and promoting the safeguarding and welfare of all the pupils.

As a lead professional you will ensure that teaching and learning is inspiring, engaging and personalised, maximising all students’ potential and empowering them to become enthusiastic and independent learners.

You will need to have an in-depth knowledge of the EYFS curriculum with at least 3 years teaching experience in EYFS and a proven track record of improving standards of learning and achievement for all.

You will be expected to liaise with professionals from a range of outside agencies under the direction of the DHT for Inclusion in order to support pupils’ diverse needs.

You will also be responsible alongside the SLT for monitoring and evaluating the performance of assigned teaching staff and support the delivery of improvement strategies.

The remit of this role may change as the post holder further develops.
