An External Communications Executive position has come up within a top law firm based out of the North West of England - ideally within commuting distance of either Manchester or Liverpool.

The role sits within a large marketing and BD function, reporting through to the Communications Manager. The role covers all aspects of external communications including PR and media relations, management of external agency relationships, in particular relating to the website and other external communication platforms. The role will work strategically and tactically to plan, manage and deliver quality communications support for the firm. Whilst having a close team of marketers and business developers around you, this role takes sole responsibility for the areas mentioned and as such you will need to have strong relationship development skills to ensure the support of the internal and external stakeholders and the timely delivery of specific information as you need it. Producing high quality and engaging communications material is the core duty for the position and and so the ability to turn potential technical information into digestible content is a core skill set we are looking for. This role requires someone who enjoys the delivery of tactical communications whilst has the capability to review and engage at a more strategic level.

Prior experience as a PR executive or external comms executive within a corporate environment is essential, ideally you will have worked with another professional services firm - particularly a law firm but this is not key.
