**Kennel Assistant**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily care and supervision for dogs in the kennels
- Feed, water, and exercise dogs according to their specific needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels and walking areas
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by the owners, veterinarian or supervisor
- Interact with pet owners and provide excellent customer service

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working in a kennel or similar animal care setting is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
- Ability to handle dogs of various breeds, sizes and temperaments with patience and compassion
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members

**Note: This position requires heavy lifting at times.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £7.52-£10.92 per hour
