**Job Details**

Working as part of the busy but very supportive Kirkcaldy Community Occupational Therapy team and supervised by a registered Occupational Therapist, this role is focused upon following up on the assessments carried out by Occupational Therapists at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. Ensuring that patients discharged from hospital have the equipment and adaptations that they need to be safe and as independent as possible on their return home.

Knowledge and preferably experience of working in an Occupational Therapy setting is desirable and ideally applicants should have some insight into the role of an Occupational therapy Assistant, and some knowledge into the assessment process. However, experience is not essential and training and an induction will be provided.

**The Person**

**Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.**
