Trainee Insurance Broker

**The opportunity**

We have a rare opportunity for a trainee Personal Lines Account Handler, who will play a key role in supporting the management of a portfolio of personal insurance policies. After a period of training and shadowing, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide expert advice, and ensure they receive the best personal insurance solutions. The role is based at our North Yorkshire office which is nestled between Scarborough & Pickering, with the flexibility of hybrid working to support work-life balance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their insurance requirements and providing professional guidance
- Policy Administration: Handle the end-to-end administration of personal insurance policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations.
- Renewals and Upselling: Proactively manage policy renewals, identify upselling opportunities, and contribute to the growth of the client portfolio.
- Market Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging products to provide informed advice to clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to deliver comprehensive and effective insurance solutions.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Customer Service and office experience, ideally with a keen interest to embark on a career within the insurance industry.
- Some knowledge of personal insurance products such as home / motor/ travel but not essential as full training is provided
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to ask appropriate questions and learn on the job
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
