- Job description 1**Typist**

**Leamington Spa Justice Centre**

**Permanent Contract**

**Full Time**

**_ Salary _**£23,121 - £24,462**

**The closing date for this post is 12 noon on 21st February 2024**

**Those currently eligible on the redeployment register will be given prior consideration.**

The main purpose of the role is to provide a typing service to include the preparation of full transcripts and summaries of digitally recorded interviews and copy typing of relevant statements to support evidential case file preparation.

**Main Responsibilities**:
To prepare full transcript and summaries of multi-media recorded interviews, for inclusion in prosecution and pre-charge files.

To prepare typed evidential documents in readiness for prosecution.

To retrieve all multi-media evidential related items required for transcript.

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required

**Knowledge**:
5 A - C grade GCSEs (including English language) or equivalent

**Experience**:
Competent in the use of IT including Microsoft packages.

Ability to type 50 wpm (to be tested at interview).

Experience of working as part of a team.

Proven ability to summarise information accurately, ensuring inclusion of all salient points.

**Key Skills**:
Proven audio typing skills.

Proven ability to work under pressure, managing a high workload
