There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Eastern Counties Division is looking to recruit a Sales Progressor to join the Division’s Sales team.
**The Role**
The role of Sales Progressor is oversee the task of moving sales from reservation stage through to contract exchange and completion and drive for this to happen in the shortest possible timescale. Ensure that maximum profit is achieved through the effective management of the sales team’s progression whilst giving a high level of service to our customers. The Sales Progressor also provides administrative back up to the Sales Director/Head of Sales/Sales Office Manager.
Principal accountabilities of the role include:
- The Sales Progressor will help ensure correct communication is being maintained between Bellway’s nominated solicitor and the customers’ solicitor to strive to contract exchange by the specified reservation expiry date.
- The Sales Progressor will also act as a liaison between the divisional office-based sales team, Sales Advisors and Lenders/Brokers/Estate Agents so that all stakeholders are adequately informed as to the progress of each individual sale in the sales pipeline.
- Responsible for investigating and resolving any problems, particularly those sales involving multiple chains.
- The Sales Progressor may also act as an additional point of contact to our customers to guide them through the contract/completion process. The Sales Progressor can help provide a central point of contact so that the process runs smoothly, particularly important when dealing with customers who may not be familiar with the legal terminology.
- Ensure that our customers are given the highest service levels possible at all times.
- Resolve any ad-hoc or minor queries that may not necessarily need to be directed to the legal team, allowing the conveyancers to focus on more complex enquiries and achieve a prompt exchange of contracts/completion.
- Ensure Sales Advisors provide accurate, regular updates(at least weekly) and coach anyone who may need help to improve in this area.
- Provide weekly update report to Senior Management or as required.
- Attend and contribute to build/sales update meetings as required.
**Experience, Qualifications and Skills**
Experience
- Experience of working within a face to face sales environment.
- Experience in a conveyancing setting role.
- Experience of working as a Sales Progressor for a residential house builder is desirable.
Qualifications and Training
- GCSE Maths and English - Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
Skills and Aptitude
- Effective negotiation and sales skills
- Good administration skills
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems
- Committed to diversity and inclusion
The Role and Working Conditions
- Willing to be flexible in respect to day to day duties and hours worked.
- Lone working, dependant on site.
- Ability to travel to all sales sites, including divisional offices.
- Able to work weekends and bank holidays.
