Assistant Education

We are seeing an Assistant Education & Engagement Officer to join our cause.

**This fixed term role involves**:
To meet the aims of the Education and Engagement strand of the Trust’s Wilder 2030 Strategy:
Assist the Engagement Officer to ensure successful delivery of an inspiring and creative education and engagement offer for all ages. This may include:

- Family-focused events and activities.
- Formal education sessions with visiting school groups.
- Activities for uniformed and other non-school groups (often outside normal working hours).

Support the Engagement Officer in managing the delivery and administration of education and engagement activities. This may include:

- Booking and charging.
- Pre-visit meetings.
- Preparation of equipment and sites.

**Experience**
- Experience of working with children and / or young people in an education or youth setting
- Experience of working with the general public and organising public events
- Knowledge & Qualifications
- Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace, GDPR and safeguarding and child protection procedures
- A genuine interest in and knowledge of wildlife.

**Skills**
- Excellent communication skills
- IT literate
- particularly MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint etc.

**Personal Qualities**
- A genuine interest and passion for teaching and public engagement
- The ability to enthuse and motivate participants and volunteers of all ages and abilities
