**An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to join a global organisation working within the Robotics industry. This person will create and maintain mechanical designs and technical documentation in line with the company’s businessneeds.**

**Mechanical Design Draughtsperson**
- Design and development of new mechanical components and product upgrades for components and systems, ensuring they are on time and to budget.
- Create new design variants based on existing designs.
- Translate 3D conceptual designs into high quality detail drawings, general assembly drawings, schematics and bills of materials.
- Review Engineering Change Requests and update existing designs, documentation and bills of materials in line with approved changes.
- Use Design for Manufacture and Assembly methodologies to ensure economic production.
- Ensure all engineering activities are documented and compliant with the company quality, HSE and Environmental policy and that designs comply with internationally recognised standards.

**Mechanical Design Draughtsperson**
**Essential Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications**:

- Minimum of Level 4 BTEC HNC or Level 4 NVQ /SVQ/City & Guilds in Engineering
- Advanced user of PTC Creo (5.0 desirable)
- Creation of fully toleranced mechanical detail drawings and general arrangement drawings to ISO standards using 3D CAD
- Application of Geometric Tolerancing in Engineering drawings
- Use of PLM systems
- Knowledge of Tolerance stackup analysis
- Understanding of standard machine shop processes

**Mechanical Design Draughtsperson**
**Desirable Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications**:

- User of Autodesk Inventor (2019 desirable) for 3D Mechanical designs and drawings
- Design of ROVs or other marine/underwater equipment
- Use of PTC Creo Piping and Cabling extension
