Job Vacancy: Marine Chandlery Assistant

Location: Sandwich, Kent

Position Type: Part-time, Weekend Shifts with Occasional Weekday Coverage

Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Saturday), 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Sunday)

Schedule: Flexible with occasional weekday shifts to cover holidays

Job Description:We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Marine Chandlery Assistant. This position primarily entails providing assistance to customers, organising merchandise, and maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the store, as well as keeping on top of shipping items to online customers and making sure the online store is kept up to date.

Responsibilities: Assisting customers with inquiries, product selection, and purchases. Maintaining inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and restocking shelves. Ensuring the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing to customers. Processing transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system. Providing support to colleagues and management as needed

Requirements: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks. Flexibility to work weekends and occasional weekdays to cover holidays.

Must be willing to commute to Sandwich, Kent, as the location is on the outskirts of town
