**SEND Teaching Assistant**

**Doncaster**

**£375.00 to £400.00 per week**

**About the role**:
This role involves supporting young people from the ages of 3 to 19 years old who have communication and interaction difficulties. This is a full-time long-term role that will be on Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

**About the school**:
This fantastic school caters for students with a variety of SEND including: communication and interaction difficulties, learning difficulties, medical needs, PMLD and behaviours that challenge. They have an extremely warm, caring and nurturing approach to the students that they support and this will need to be something that is also imbedded in your personal work approach and ethos. Catering for students form the ages of 3 to 19 years old, ideally you will be comfortable supporting a range of ages and abilities.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:

- Have a passion and desire to work with young people with additional needs
- Have a non-judgmental, nurturing approach in the classroom
- Have experience supporting children and young adults with a range of different learning needs and abilities - ASD, communication difficulties and learning difficulties
- Ideally have your own transport or close public transport links
- Ideally be moving and handling trained
- Be available from Monday to Friday each week
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team, have a nurturing and caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- At least 3 months relevant classroom experience or transferrable experience working with individuals with SEND
